About Banca Promos S.p.a.
1980 – On 16 October, on the initiative of Ugo Malasomma, Promos Srl was founded in Naples, whose corporate purpose is to carry out brokerage activities on the Italian stock and bond markets.
1987 – This year a particular phase of Italian financial history begins and we are witnessing a progressive opening towards international markets. The currency deregulation that began in 1986, in fact, also allows Italian investors to operate on international markets.
Promos seizes the new opportunity quickly and acquires an increasingly specialization in the Eurobond sector, in particular in emerging markets, a segment that shows broad development prospects. In the same year, it joined the AIOTE – Italian Association of Foreign Securities Operators, which will become ASSIOM.
1991 – Following the issuance of the so-called SIM Law (Law 2 January 1991, n. 1), Promos is transformed into a Securities Brokerage Company.
With registration in the Consob register, activity on international securities markets continues.
