The foundation stone of Eurocity Bank AG was laid in 1987 by Thomas Gries and Wolfgang Heissel in Berlin with the founding of Gries & Heissel Bankiers.
The major milestone in the change of Gries & Heissel Bankiers to today’s Eurocity Bank AG took place in 2012.
A group of investors, consisting of an international listed company and Austrian private investors, acquired all of the shares in Gries & Heissel Bankiers.
