1865 – Creation of the Société Marseillaise de Crédit
In 1913, the Société Marseillaise de Crédit bought the Banque du Sud-Est and the Comptoir Commercial d’Escompte du Midi. Thanks to these acquisitions and the opening of new branches, the bank is extending its presence to the departments of Alpes-Maritimes and Languedoc Roussillon. In less than six months, the bank built up a network of 29 branches all around the Mediterranean and Drôme.
1982 – The Société Marseillaise de Crédit was nationalized in February 1982. The bank explored new directions in order to support and develop the regional economy.
