About Central Bank of Bolivia

The BCB “Casto Rojas” Library is one of the best equipped in its speciality. Founded in 1941, it bears the name of the president of the institution at that time, in honor of the initiative that this authority had to create a reading space.

Casto Rojas, journalist, lawyer and with studies in finance and economics, held high positions on different occasions until in 1941 he was appointed president of the Issuing Institute during the government administration of Enrique Peñaranda.

The library is specialized in economics, banking and finance, it collects in its funds two collections that were bought from Enrique Finot and Moisés Alcázar, which contain books on literature, history and geography.
