With more than 15 years of experience in everything to do with paying with the mobile phone, we have also been issuing our own credit card since 2009. paybox Bank AG was created in 2011 from a merger of A1 Bank AG and paybox austria GmbH. A1 Bank AG, founded in 2002, was the world’s first bank from a mobile communications provider. The company paybox austria GmbH brought the first mobile, mass-marketable payment system onto the market in Europe and was thus an international pioneer.
