About First State Bank Nebraska

1912 – First State Bank began serving communities in Nebraska in 1912 as a state charter bank. The first branch was in Hickman, and later expanded to Lincoln.

2004 –First State Bank and the Bank of Yutan joined Saline State Bank in the First State Holding Co. family.  The First State name was retained.

2009 – First State Holding Co. acquired Filley Bank.

2010 – Farmers Bank of Lincoln and DeWitt State Bank were also acquired by First State Holding Co.

2012 – First State Bank changed its name to First State Bank Nebraska to reflect the focus on service to Nebraska communities.
