About 1st Cameron State Bank
1st Cameron State Bank began serving the Cameron community from a small house located between the present day 1st Cameron State Bank main bank facility and the Cameron Coop in 1965 as Cameron State Bank. The Cameron State Bank was started as a community effort. There were 130 stockholders, all Cameron residents, who felt that the area needed more than one commercial bank. The original directors of Cameron State Bank were: Robert Keatly, Melvin Griffin, Leo Farnan, Lloyd Bacon, Robert McKee and W.W. “Bill” Beckett. The present facility located at 124 S.
