While satoshi is considered to be the smallest Bitcoin unit, it is possible for transactions to be executed with a smaller unit. The unit is named “millisatoshi” (msat), and it is one-thousandth of a single satoshi or one hundred billionth of a single bitcoin. However, this unit cannot be used for transactions on the Bitcoin network.
