About Citizens Deposit Bank
Citizens Bank and Deposit Bank of Vanceburg served the community in the late 1800’s. The two banks merged around 1889, creating Citizens Deposit Bank. During the 1937 flood, the water reached to the second floor of the building. The second floor of the bank was then used as the flood relief headquarters for the City of Vanceburg.
