1830 – The stock exchange was founded in 1830, when the Munich merchants’ parlor initiated regulated trading in securities in the state capital on December 16. The dawning industrial age brings mobility to Bavaria – new technologies open up new markets. The young companies seek capital for investments and set up public companies that are listed on the stock exchange. The state and municipalities also use bonds to raise new funds.
