What is Cryptojacking?

Cryptojacking is a form of cybercrime in which a criminal gains unauthorized access to victims’ computers or mobile devices and uses them for cryptocurrency mining. The process starts once the victim unintentionally and unknowingly installs a program containing malicious scripts. Cryptojacking may also involve cybercriminals that hack into computers and mobile devices connected to the internet to steal funds from cryptocurrency wallets. The growth of the DeFi system has popularized the threat coming from cryptojacking activities.
