It all started with the realisation that while P2P fundraising was exploding in the USA and the UK, the rest of Europe was seriously lacking behind.
Our initial idea was a fundraising platform, which we launched in 2011. The first 100 fundraisers were recruited face-to-face at Sunday marathon training in Copenhagen. We gained a valuable understanding of the concept during the first few years through very hands-on experiences.
But we made one crucial error by focusing on being a platform.
