The SAB is the central funding institute of the Free State of Saxony. On the basis of the law for the establishment of the Sächsische Aufbaubank – Förderbank – (FördbankG) of June 19, 2003, the SAB supports the Free State as an institution under public law in the fulfillment of its public tasks.
