About Bank of the Pacific
Over four decades ago a small group of local businessmen in Long Beach, Washington came together to create a bank that would focus on the community. In 1971, the Bank of the Pacific was formed and the Bank was given a charter in 1972. Eight years later, The Bank of Grays Harbor in Aberdeen, Washington was created by a group of local business people who shared many of the same values and vision as the earlier group. Their goal was to provide great personal service, make decisions locally, and be active and supportive in their communities. Year after year the number of local businesses and families they served grew because the Bank provided them with knowledgeable financial solutions. In late 1999 a merger of equals was formed between the two banks. In 2004 Bank Northwest, based in Bellingham, Washington, became part of the Bank of the Pacific family.
