Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG), the popular American chain of fast-casual restaurants, will accept cryptocurrencies as payments for its products. Chipotle has partnered up with Flexa, a pure-digital payments platform, to enable its customers to pay with 98 cryptocurrencies supported on the platform, including the popular Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and stablecoins pegged to the U.S. dollar.

With this move, the company offers an option to customers to pay for their burritos and Tex-Mex favorites with cryptocurrencies in nearly 3,000 Chipotle locations across the U.S.

To use the crypto payment option, customers need to download and install the Gemini or SPEDN app to store their digital assets and use the Flexa platform for purchases. Other Flexa enabled wallet apps might also be used.

By offering the options for cryptocurrency payments, Chipotle finds its place on the list of popular food chains that support the use of cryptocurrency as a payment method. Some famous companies that accept crypto payments are Starbucks, Subway, Shake Shack, and many more from other industries.
