About WSK Bank AG
In 1871 the company known today as WSK Bank AG (Wiener Spar- und Kreditinstitut) was founded under the name “Spar- und Advance Consortium Währing” of the first general civil servants’ association in Vienna-Währing.
1872 to 1884 In the following years the “Savings and Advance Consortium Währing” was converted into a cooperative. The basic idea behind it: to give owners of life insurance policies the opportunity to take out loans.
1885 to 1895 Already in 1885 the house – today Weimarer Straße 26 – was acquired and almost 10 years later (1894) also the next house with the number 28. The headquarters of WSK Bank AG is still there today… Continue reading about WSK Bank AG here.
