About Del Norte Bank
Del Norte Bank was chartered as Del Norte Building and Loan Association on May 9th, 1921 by Charles W. Donnen, William Johnson, Louie Eickenrodt, J.H. Weiss, and J.P. Russell. The purpose of the building and loan was to provide a safe place to save money and to offer financing for families to build homes. The Bank Charter was modified to Del Norte Federal Savings and Loan Association on May 14th, 1935 through the Federal Home Loan Bank System and was authorized by the Home Owner’s Loan Act of 1933. In 2007, the bank moved to its current, modern facility. Today we are still organized as a mutual savings and loan.
